Russell Brand Won't Force a Gender on His Newborn Daughter

New dad Russell Brand is turning heads with his latest parental decision… and we’re curious to what you think.
The 41-year-old announced the birth of his daughter at the end of last year, and while on a morning talk show, he revealed that he won’t be forcing a gender on to her as she gets older. He added that now that he has the very important women in his life, meaning his daughter and fiancé, he has re-evaluated the way he looks at gender.
He continued and said that he doesn’t have to dress his daughter Mabel in feminine clothes, and doesn’t need to dress her in clothes for her gender. He’d rather just see how she formulates it herself.
Russell first revealed the news back in July… by posting a photo of him reading a parenting book.
Brand was famously married to singer Katy Perry back in October 0f 2010, but they divorced 14 months later.
Mabel is his first child.
