This Swarm Of 103 Military Drones Shares One ‘Brain’
  • 7 years ago
by Jeff DonlanThe Department of Defense recently tested a swarm of 103 military drones that share a single “brain”. Called Perdix drones, they were developed by MIT students. The swarm’s shared “brain” allows them to adapt as new drones enter the pack.  Small, autonomous aircrafts like these could be used for military surveillance. Their stealth is increased by their small wingspan, which at only 12 inches makes them easy to miss.
