Britain agreed to a $125 million defense deal with Turkey to help develop fighter jets for the air force. The announcement came following Theresa May's meeting with the Turkish presidenta and prime minister in Ankara. May said the defense deal "underlines once again that Britain is a great, global, trading nation". "It marks the start of a new and deeper trading relationship with Turkey and will potentially secure British and Turkish jobs and prosperity for decades to come," May said of the trade deal. The defence agreement is between BAE Systems and Turkish Aerospace Industries in part of the Turkish Fighter Program.
