Trump urges consumers to buy L.L. Bean amid boycott threat

President-elect Donald Trump praised L.L. Bean after anti-Trump groups urged consumers to boycott the outdoor retailer because the granddaughter of the company's founder publicly supports Trump. Bean sits on the board of the family-owned company, but isn't an executive, and also donated $60,000 to the Making America Great PAC last year. While Linda Bean has been active in Republican politics in Maine, her cousin Leon Gorman, a retired chairman and CEO of the company, has been an active Democratic donor. L.L. Bean said in a statement.
