Apple's app store tops sales in December

Apple's app store just had it's most successful sales month in history, making $3 billion in revenue in the month of December 2016. The app store grew to 2.2 million apps and app makers were paid out $20 billion dollars in 2016, VP of marketing Phil Schiller told The Verge. According to Schiller, Pokémon Go was the most downloaded app of the year and the fifth highest-grossing app in the App Store. In addition to the U.S., China's market ballooned by 90 percent since 2015.
