On Monday, it was announced in a news release from the office of West Virginia governor Earl Ray Tomblin that Pamela Ramsey Taylor is no longer employed as the director of the Clay County Development Corp., or CCDC.
He also revealed that the nonprofit organization will be managed by the Appalachian Area Agency on Aging for the coming 6 months and possibly beyond.
According to WCHS, during this period, a thorough compliance review of the CCDC will be conducted, with special attention paid to how well it abides by anti-discrimination policies.
Shortly after the presidential election, Taylor wrote on Facebook, “It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified first lady back in the White House. I'm tired of seeing an ape in heels.”
Taylor resigned soon after, but weeks later was reinstated and scheduled to return to work on December 23.
