Emma Stone Manages Anxiety

Emma Stone wasn’t always the cool and confident actress we know and love today. When she was a child, she suffered debilitating anxiety. Stone said, "When I was about seven, I was convinced the house was burning down. I could sense it. Not a hallucination, just a tightening in my chest, feeling I couldn't breathe, like the world was going to end. There were some flare-ups like that, but my anxiety was constant.” Stone explained that therapy helped, but her creativity is what really saved her. She wrote a book called ‘I Am Bigger Than My Anxiety’ about a little green monster that sits on her shoulder and tells her things that aren’t true.
