Relentless Search Rescues Elephant From Injury

After receiving an emergency call for an injured nine-year-old bull elephant, AWARE Trust Zimbabwe packed up and began their search for Little Nyakasanga. When they find him they immediately begin treating him for a braided cable snare lodged inside his left leg. They stabilize the elephant, remove the snare, capture x-rays to ensure no tendon damage, bandage him up, and watch him wake up. This little guy is tough! Thanks to AWARE, he has been given another chance.
