Shahid Kapoor has got an interesting role in Udta Punjab. We had reported some days back that he had tried several looks for his role in the same, but he was snapped on the sets in a very unusual avatar.
Sasha who sported a bald look in Haider was seen with long tresses. He was caught on camera wearing a colourful and floral shirt. His shirt was unbuttoned in the front and we spotted a teeny weeny tattoo on his chest as well. He seemed to be wearing a gold watch and this avatar of his made us draw comparisons with Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow sans the bandana.
Udta Punjab deals with the drug menace in Punjab and we gather that Shahid plays a hipster in the movie. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljeet Dosanjh, it is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
Shahid Kapoor and the makers of Udta Punjab had gone to great lengths to protect his look from the public. In fact, he had undergone around 15-16 look tests before they finally settled on one particular look. However, we recently reported that Shahid would be unveiling his look from the film during his performance at the opening ceremony of IPL 8, and we are definitely not disappointed.
He was seen rocking a patiala with a messy mop of hair and a rough stubble and looked absolutely drool worthy. This is a major change from his shaved head in Haider and we have to say this Udta Punjab look suits Shahid perfectly.
