The roof of a crowded church collapsed in Nigeria on Saturday, killing at least 60 people, according to local officials. The Reigners Bible Church International was still under construction during the ceremony on Saturday to ordain church founder Akan Weeks as a bishop. Hundreds of people, including Governor Udom Emmanuel, were inside when the roof caved in and plummeted towards congregants. The church's collapse was attributed to structural failure. In 2014, 116 people died when a multi-story guesthouse of the Synagogue Church of All Nations collapsed in Lagos due to structural failure.
