Searchers recovered five bodies from the wreckage of a bridge that collapsed and crushed three boats on the morning of October 1, 2019, in a small fishing village in Taiwan’s northeastern county of Yilan.  The victims, all described as being non-Taiwanese, are believed to be fishermen. The incident also injured at least 12 people, including two rescue workers who were among those searching for another missing person. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the collapse.
