The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 19000 for the first time in 120 years, a day after major U.S. stock indexes hit a series of records.
The S&P 500 traded over 2,200 for the first time, as telecommunications led advancers. The Nasdaq composite rose 0.35 percent, also trading at fresh record highs. Dow 19,000 is the latest signal that the rally sparked by Donald Trump’s surprise presidential election win is broadening as investors continue to bet on the prospects for a more investor- and business-friendly administration.
