CEO Of San Diego Startup Resigns After Posting Threats Against Trump

PacketSled, a cyber-security business based in San Diego, announced on Tuesday that its CEO and founder Matt Harrigan has resigned. Harrigan’s departure comes on the heels of threats he made to Donald Trump via social media.

PacketSled, a cyber-security business based in San Diego, announced on Tuesday that its CEO and founder Matt Harrigan has resigned, reports the the San Diego Union-Tribune. 
Harrigan’s departure comes on the heels of threats he made to Donald Trump via social media, notes KNSD. 
Among his comments were, “I’m going to kill the president. Elect,” and “Bring it secret service.” 
Harrigan also wrote, “…getting a sniper rifle and perching myself where it counts. Find a bedroom in the whitehouse [sic] that suits you motherf----r. I’ll find you.” 
He does not deny authoring the menacing posts, but did attempt to explain them. 
Harrigan said in a series of tweets, “My humble apologies that a flawed joke has become public/out of context. My poor judgement [sic] does not represent the views of @packetsled… customers, investors or the officers of PacketSled, I have no malicious intention toward the #POTUS and apologize to all for my lack of judgement [sic] and offensive commentary. I wish you all well.”
