Founder and CEO of Celsius ($CELH@US), Alex Mashinsky announced his resignation from the cryptocurrency lending company. Celsius experienced one of the largest falls of the crypto crash, and it has filed for bankruptcy, saying that it owes customers $4.7 billion. “I regret that my continued role as C.E.O. has become an increasing distraction,” Mashinsky wrote in a separate statement. “I am very sorry about the difficult financial circumstances members of our community are facing.” Chris Ferraro, Celsius’s chief financial officer, will serve as Mr. Mashinsky’s interim replacement, the company said in a statement.
