Washington, Nov 9 (EFE/EPA).- Outsider Republican candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday won the 2016 United States presidential election.

Speaking at the Republican victory rally at the Hilton Hotel in New York City's Manhattan district, Trump told supporters that his Democratic Party rival Hillary Clinton called him by telephone to concede victory when the results showed the business mogul was to secure more than the necessary 270 electoral votes.
