Adrian Peterson suffered a torn meniscus on his knee and left the game. Sam Bradford hit on 22 of 31 passes for 286 yards with two touchdowns.

Carolina is 1-1 on the campaign with the 46-27 home victory to the San Francisco 49ers as a -12 point favorite. The total finished at over 44 ½ points. It was a huge offensive performance by the Panthers as they gained 529 offensive yards. The run game was working with the team rushing for 176 yards on 37 carries. Cam Newton hit on 24 of 40 passes for 353 yards with four touchdowns and a pick. The team was very sloppy with four turnovers. They defended the run well as the 49ers gained 65 yards on 26 carries. Carolina forced three San Francisco turnovers and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
