Notes: San Francisco is 1-0 on the year with the 28-0 home victory on Monday Night to the LA Rams as a +2 ½ point underdog. The total went under 43 points. The 49ers had a very good defensive performance limiting LA to just 185 yards of offense with 120 passing yards putting heavy pressure on the quarterback. San Francisco had their run game going with 150 yards. Blaine Gabbert went 22 of 35 for 170 yards and a touchdown plus engineered four touchdowns in all four red zone drives. The team had three rushing touchdowns with two from Carlos Hyde.

Carolina is 0-1 with the 21-20 road defeat to the Denver Broncos as a -3 point favorite. The total went over 40 ½ points. The Panthers blew a 17-7 lead after three quarters. Down one late the Panthers missed on a long field goal attempt in defeat. Carolina ran well with 157 yards for the game. Cam Newton was 18 of 33 for 194 yards with a touchdown and pick. They allowed 307 yards to the Denver offense with 148 coming on the ground. Carolina loses despite a +2 turnover margin.
