US Open: Wawrinka reaches U.S. Open semis, del Potro goes home

As the clock ticked past midnight into Thursday morning, Stan Wawrinka and Juan Martin del Potro were just starting the third set.
In the end, Wawrinka simply wore down del Potro, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
it was a crazy atmosphere, really late match.

I'm really happy to have won that match.
For del Potro, the outcome was a disappointment, but reaching the quarterfinals was another milestone in his return from recurring wrist injuries that had cost him most of three years on tour.
