The USC Trojans will travel to face the Alabama Crimson Tide to open the season in an NCAA college football game set for Saturday.

Jones rushed for 987 yards with eight touchdowns and 6.5 yards per rush average while Davis ran for 902 yards with seven touchdowns with 5.3 yards per carry. There is a competition for the starting quarterback position between Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett. Jalen Hurts is also in the running but is a true freshman. Bateman served as a backup who completed 37 of 52 passes for 291 yards with a touchdown and two picks. Barnett is a red shirt freshman. Sophomore Damian Harris figures to be the lead running back who rushed 46 times a season ago for 157 yards with a touchdown. The Crimson Tide finished as the number three total defense in 2015 by allowing 276 yards and 15.1 points per game.
