Notes: The teams met in the 2014 season with LSU posting the 28-24 home victory as a -3 point betting favorite. Les Miles enters his 12th year with the Tigers and is on the hot seat after a 9-3 record. They did earn a 56-27 victory against Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl. Miles will have eight starters back on offense and nine to the defense. With LSU it’s all about the lack of quality play under center. Junior Brandon Harris returns for his junior campaign. He completed 53.85 of his passes last year for 2165 yards with 13 touchdowns and six picks. Running back Leonard Fournette enters his junior season and is a Heisman candidate. He was on his way to a Heisman trophy until he struggled against Alabama. In 2015 Fournette ran for 1953 yards on 300 carries with 22 touchdowns and 6.5 yards per carry average. LSU was the 25th top defense a season ago.

Wisconsin finished 10-3 a year ago in head coach Paul Chryst’s first year as head coach. They defeated USC 23-21 in the Holiday Bowl. They must replace Joel Stave who enters the NFL this year. It will either be Bart Houston or Alex Hornibrook. Houston was the backup last year and in mop up duty completed 57.4% of his throws for 281 yards with three touchdowns and two picks. Hornibrook is a freshman. The Badgers sported the second best defense in college football in 2015 as they team allowed 268 yards per game. Opponents scored just 13.7 points per game on the Wisconsin defense ranking the Badgers number one in scoring defense.
