Will Burma achieve peace in 2013?

For six decades the Burmese government has been fighting the many rebel ethnic armies in the world's longest civil war in Burma.

Since Thein Sein's government came to power there have been efforts to open a political dialogue with the rebel armies.

But despite tentative ceasefires and recent peace talks, fighting in Kachin and northern Shan states continues.

Thein Sein says he wants a nationwide ceasefire congress next month...but DVB debate asks will Burma really achieve peace in 2013?
