Rohingya refugees call for recognition in fresh repatriation talks with Myanmar
  • 5 years ago
Rohingya leaders and a top-level Myanmar government delegation have held fresh talks under terms of a 2017 repatriation deal between Myanmar and Bangladesh.  The latest repatriation talks took place at a refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on July 28, 2019.  Refugee leaders say Myanmar must guarantee it will recognise the Rohingya as an ethnic group with rights to citizenship, before families will feel comfortable about returning to their country.
