1,300 sheep made a great escape in Spain on June 7, after their shepherd fell asleep while tending them.

The sheep were being looked after in a field on the edge of the city of Huesca, waiting to making their annual trek towards the Pyrenees.

However the Huesca Police told Reuters that they received a call from a resident in the early hours of June 7 stating they had seen hundreds of sheep walking around on the Avenue Martinez de Velasco in the city.

The police then had to track down the owner and herd the sheep back to their original field.
