10 CRPF personnel killed, 5 injured in Naxal encounter

10 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and at least three Maoists were killed in a late-night encounter between CRPF personnel and Maoists in Gaya in Bihar. The encounter started late last night and is still underway. A team of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (COBRA) jawans of the CRPF was on a patrolling mission in the Dumari Nala forest area in the Gaya district when they were ambushed by the Maoists, who set off 21 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) around them. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
