Snails 'slug' it out in championship race

More than 200 snails race against each other in the annual World championships held in Congham, Norfolk, UK. Been host to World Championships for over 25 years, Congham is ideal racing and breeding ground for snails. 9-year-old Thomas Vincent won the championship with his snail Schumacher. In 1995 a snail named Archie set the world record of finishing the 13-inch course in 2 minutes while the current champion is Herbie whose finishing time was 3 minutes 25 seconds. As it turns out, children are the best snail owners and trainers.
