Nanoparticles Repair Blood Vessels to Help Prevent Heart Disease and Stroke

Scientists have begun engineering Nanoparticles to repair blood vessel damage, break up plaques, and stop immune molecules from overreacting. In past 20 years, scientists have been using nanoparticles to fight cancer, delivering drugs right to the spots needed. Now nanoparticles are being used to fight heart disease, one of the leading causes of death in the United States. They are to be employed most often to prevent strokes.
