Jaisalmer hits a blistering 52.4 degrees

A border outpost in Jaisalmer has registered a blistering 52.4 degrees! According to paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) officials at India-Pakistan international border in Rajasthan state, the temperature hovered around 50-52 degree Celsius. Though light rainfall on Monday evening in parts of the state did bring temperatures down moderately but mercury was still hovering between 40-44 degrees Celsius in majority of parts of Rajasthan.
Heatwave conditions also continue to sweep several parts of the country this summer -- with temperatures crossing 40 degrees Celsius.
