Tamasha Trailer REVIEW | Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Imtiaz Ali

The tagline of Tamasha says ‘Why always the same story?’ and trust us after watching the trailer, even we are wondering the same. Imtiaz Ali’s much-anticipated Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer’s trailer was unveiled today and we have to say that it has left us a tad disappointed.

The film revolves around a workaholic Ved, played by Ranbir Kapoor, who finally takes a break from his dreary life and travels to Corsica and there he meets a happy-go-lucky girl Tara (Deepika). The duo explores the island, dances, makes merry and also promise each other ‘what happens in Corsica, remains in Corsica’. During their adventure in the French island, they form a troupe to stage dramatic plays and fall passionately in love. However, while DeePee actually starts loving him, much to her disappointment, Ranbir tells her that he has only been acting all this while and that he is a very different person in real life. What happens next forms the premise of the movie.

Tamasha looks like a mix of films like Rockstar, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and has thus failed to pique our interest. Ranbir is seen mouthing dialogues from Shah Rukh Khan’s films and in the last scene he reminds us of SRK’s character in Darr. The lead pair’s sizzling chemistry is worth watching and the former lovers are also seen locking lips in the trailer.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is slated to release on November 27. Here’s hoping that the film will be more interesting than the trailer.
