Woman strangled to death while having rough sex, claims roommate

MEXICO CITY — A psychologist has died after being strangled allegedly during sex.
Tania Trinidad Paredes, 23, was found dead in Mexico City in the home of 32-year-old Juan Javier Jonathan Ruiz Torres.
According to Ruiz Torres, he was drinking with Paredes and his roommate, Jose Luis Arzate Martinez. Paredes had suggested a threesome, but Arzate Martinez turned down the offer.
Instead the Ruiz Torres and Paredes decided to have rough sex.
"During the act, she asked me to squeeze her neck and slap her because she liked violent sex," Ruiz Torres told police.
He said he strangled her with a cable as per her request, but then the woman collapsed.
A post mortem examination found the cause of death was asphyxiation and her neck bones had been broken.
The investigation is ongoing.
