Most of us are aware of heart attack symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath; however, a recent study indicates that silent heart attacks which occur in the absence of symptoms, may be far more common than many people realize.

In fact, according to a statement issued by the American Heart Association, "nearly half of all heart attacks may be 'silent.'"
