Sonam Kapoor Claims Playing ‘Neerja’ Has Made Her Stronger

The trailer of upcoming biopic ‘Neerja’ was released yesterday and during the event, Sonam Kapoor, who plays the titular character, got emotionally overwhelmed while talking about her experience.
Talking about her role in the film, Sonam claimed that playing the role made her stronger as a person as the role was emotionally challenging and made her grow as a person. Sonam further added that the film pushed her to do better and that she knew she owed it to Neerja’s family to do justice to the character.
‘Neerja’ is based on the life of slain air-hostess Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life trying to save the lives of children during a hijack crisis in 1986.
