Schoolgirl sneaks through Moscow airport security, flies to St. Petersburg

MOSCOW — An 11-year-old schoolgirl, driven by her strong desire to see St. Petersburg, managed to get past airport security without a ticket or any ID at Moscow's Vnukovo airport last Monday.
Security video footage shows the girl walking around in the crowd of passengers waiting to be checked by the customs officials. After deciding which line to take, she successfully sneaks past the the officials by walking behind two passengers.
It was not clear how the girl managed to board the flight, operated by Rossiya Airlines, without a ticket, but she made it all the way to St. Petersburg.
According to Russia Today, the little girl did not get to see St. Petersburg as she remained at the arrivals hall after the flight had landed. Her parents realized she was missing after she failed to return home from school. She was then handed over to child services, who arranged her return trip to Moscow.
Both the airport and the Rossiya Airlines are now facing an investigation.
