The government may have got it wrong on PF withdrawals yet again!
The labour ministry on Tuesday issued a quick clarification, keeping in abeyance a controversial clause which restricted PF withdrawals only for buying a home or meeting heathcare exigencies. The U-turn follows widespread protests across the country, especially in India's Silicon Valley Bengaluru, where textile workers went on a rampage. Even some of the top corporates like Biocon were caught in the crossfire with the angry mob taking to the streets.
