Dramatic footage has emerged from Caracas, Venezuela, of clashes between police and protesters, following a water supply cut in the area.

The video, filmed last week, shows officers using shields to block the road, in an attempt to stop protesters advancing any further.

During the video, a woman can be seen being apprehended by three police officers.

According to local reports, people in the area have spent the last month only being able to access water for three hours per day.
