Modi reminded Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi that he was ìtoo elderly to be a rivalî and coined the slogan 'Our fight is not against Gogoi, our fight is against poverty (Meri Ladai Gogoi Se Nahi, Garibi Se Hai).'
