X Factor India - X Factor India Season-1 Episode 6 - Full Episode - 3rd June 2011

Thousands of people exhibited their talent in front of the nation in the biggest singing reality show of all time, X Factor. Out of them only 124 are selected for the bootcamp round. After the first day of the round, only half will remain. In this round the contestants will perform without music on a song of their own choice. The first five to hit the stage are Nimisha Deb, Swagata Khatua, Ritika Behl, Mohd. Umer. After them, performers keep coming in a lot of 5. Full of nervousness and tension, they sing in an empty auditorium where they face the Judge Gurus. Out of the heard comes Seema Jha, full of confidence and positivism. Then 3 Musket Ranis and Neel-E-Khan Group perform two contradicting performances. After 124 performances, judges decide to take only half of them ahead. Next day X Factor contestants visit the very famous 'Famous Studios' of Mumbai, where many big names of the music industry have recorded their songs. Before calling up the contestants, Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam give a little knowledge about the techniques of recording to the viewers. The first one to start is Neelamrug Ingle, who wears his lucky shirt, fails to sing in the recording atmosphere. With huge dreams in his eyes, Vishal Srivastava also takes a step ahead and manages to impress the Judge Gurus. Then it's the turn of Sajda Sisters, who with their performance on an Asha Bhosle number 'Mujhe Rang De' and get a standing ovation for their fabulous singing. Then, Geet Saagar, an RJ by profession, on a request by Sonu Nigam does a little Radio Jockeying. The 18 year old Shovon Ganguly presents his talent with 'Soniyo' by Sonu Nigam. Judge Gurus enjoy appreciate his effort. Many girls try their shot with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's superhit 'Udi' but they couldn't do justice to the song. 18 year old Mohd. Umer, in nervousness, pronounces 'Baat' as 'Fart' and makes everyone laugh. Eric Rolston hopes to do the well but forgets the lyrics and leaves broken hearted. Manjeera Ganguly, who was highly appreciated by the Judge Gurus in the audition, sings perfectly on microphone and Judge Gurus get impressed with her performance. Kartar Singh gets separated from his group partner Shobhi Mathur which makes him happy. Deewana Group enters the recording room for the first time and Judge Gurus give them a standing ovation for an amazing performance. After a plethora of good performances, the performers await their destiny and the Judge Gurus come up with the result of Top 26. Then there were tears all around, some of sadness and some of happiness. The Top 26 performers reach Goa for the the next round. The performers have fun in the holiday atmosphere on the beaches of Goa, unaware of what awaits them in the next round after which the Gala round will begin with the Top 12.

Open to all citizens of India over the age of 16, the auditions will be divided into 3 categories, viz. 16-25 years, 25 & above and individual groups. Participants that make through the final selection will then be divided into three groups with each group headed by a mentor. Of this lot, the top 12 will be selected to participate in the Galas and prove their mettle to the entire nation

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Needless to say, one of India's greatest film makers having moved hearts right from his first film, Khamoshi -- The Musical to Hum Dil Chuke Sanam to Guzaarish, this producer, writer, director and recently turned musician has received several accolades for his creativity abilities. As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
