Scientists at RMIT University in Australia have developed materials containing nanostructures which can break down organic matter when exposed to light.

Textiles usually require a washing machine to clean, but a new innovation could replace that with a simple tool--light.
Researchers at RMIT University in Australia have developed materials containing nanostructures which can break down organic matter when exposed to sunshine or light from a bulb or other source.
This way, clothes made with these components in the future could conceivably be cleaned just by wearing them out during daytime hours.
RMIT scientists had already been working with metal-based nanostructures which contain el
