BROOK PARK, OHIO — Dash cam footage shows frantic moments before a train collides with AT&T service van.

Officer Harold Duncan of Brook Park Police Department was parked nearby the train tracks near Route 237 and Holland Road on March 10. He noticed the van stuck on the railroad tracks from down the street.

Duncan drove over to see the driver of the van frantically exiting his vehicle. The driver then grabs a bag from the back seat as Duncan rushes over on foot yelling at the man to get out of the way. The two men watch as moments later a freight train crushes the van.

Following the incident, the dashcam video was posted on the police department's Facebook page. In response to a comment, the police department wrote that the driver "tried to go around the semi when the gates were coming down and got stuck on the tracks."

Luckily, both the driver and Duncan were unharmed.
