USA Today is reporting that it has accessed an Inspector General report on the Pentagon’s use of military drones over U.S. territories and found that there were fewer than 20 instances between 2006 and 2015, and all were found to be lawful.

On Wednesday, USA Today reported that the Pentagon has been deploying unmanned spy drones over U.S. regions.

These activities were classed as non-military and have been found to be lawful. Between 2006 and 2015 there were fewer than 20 occurrences.

USA Today gleaned this information after receiving the agency’s Inspector General report on these flights through the Freedom of Information Act.

The document was reportedly finalized last March but only recently released to external parties.

One section that was censored in the public version was the list of requests that were made to use drones on domestic territory.&nbs
