Specially trained deer bow to get cookies

An adorable video has emerged of deer bowing in order to get food in Nara, Japan.

The footage, shot by a tourist last week, shows the animals bowing to him to be fed cookies.

The filmer explained that the deer have been trained to receive food this way from visitors to prevent aggression.

He explained the rules online, writing: "The method is:
1. Hold the deer cracker above your head and wait for the deer to bow.
2. Then move the deer cracker to your waist and wait for the deer to take another bow.
3. Then move the deer cracker back above your head and wait for the deer to bow once more.
4. NOM NOM NOM!"
