Anushka Sharma born on 1st May 1988, is an Indian actress and model, she is the daughter of Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma and has one brother Karnesh.
Anushka started her modeling career with Lakme Fashion Week and did big advertising campaigns for Silk and Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry, Fiat Palio.
Anushka was the “find” of Yash Raj Films and was contracted for three films under their banner.
Anushka made her debut in year 2008, with Shahrukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film was a big hit and her performance was much appreciated.
Anushka looks stunning on screen, and her performance is live wire. She truly gets into the character she plays to the core and this reflects in her performance.
For her acting in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Band Baaja Baaraat she was nominated for the Filmfare Awards.
