Shahid Kapoor born on 25th Feb 1981, at Delhi, is an Indian actor, model, trained dancer. He is son of actor Pankaj Kapoor and actress Neelima Azeem. His parents have separated legally, and Pankaj Kapoor is married to actress Supriya Pathak. Shahid Kapoor has 3 siblings, Sanah, Ruhaan and Ishaan. He has cordial and warm relations with his step mother Supriya Pathak. He is great great grand son of legendary writer, poet, K.A. Abass.
Shahid Kapoor started his career by acting in music videos, and TV commercials like Pepsi, and later joined Shiamak Davar’s dancing institute and has worked as background dancer in a film Taal.
Shahid Kapoor made his debut as a leading man in a film Ishq Vishq, and impressed his audiences with his amazing acting talents, boyish looks, and sincerity towards his work. He worked in many movies and some of them being Fida, Dil Mange More, Shikhar, Chupke Chupke, Chance Pe Dance, Mausam,36 China Town. His role in Jab We Met and Kaminey was much appreciated and he was nominated in the Best Actor category award by Film Fare.
On personal front he was in relation with actress Kareena Kapoor for a long time but they spilt, yet are polite to each other even after the break up. Shahid Kapoor is a vegetarian and very secular and respects all religions.
