Sonakshi Sinha born on 2nd June 1987 at Patna, is an Indian actress, model, fashion designer and daughter of actor, politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. She has two brothers Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha.
Sonakshi started her career with a ramp walk for Lakme Fashions in the year 2008 and 2009. She did her course of fashion designing from SNTD Bombay and in the year 2005, designed costumes for the film Dil Lele Dekho.
She was spotted by Salman Khan and made her debut with him in the box office superhit film Dabangg in the year 2010. She shed more than 30 kilos to fit in the role. Her charm and grace was well appreciated by the audience and the critics and she won Film Fare Best Debut Award for this film.
Her second film Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar was also a all time hit, displaying her immense acting skills.
Sonakshi has won number of awards like Apsara Film Awards, TV and Producer Guild Awards, Big Star Entertainment Award, Lotus Gold Award, Zee Cine Awards for her acting skills.
Sonakshi has endorsed some brands and is brand ambassador of the Provogue clothing line.
