Kangana Ranaut, born on 20th March, 1987, at Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, is an Indian actress, model, and daughter of Asha and Amandeep. She has one elder sister Rangoli and brother Akshit. She belongs to a Rajput royal family from Jaipur.
Kangna started her career as a model in Delhi and joined elite advertising and modeling agency.
Kangna joined theatre group in Delhi- Asmita Theatre Group till the year 2005.
In the year 2005, she came to Mumbai for joining Hindi films and was spotted by director Anurag Basu who signed her for film Gangster, and the film was commercially and critically well appreciated. For her sterling performance in Gangster Kangna won many awards for this film like- Asian First Film Award, Filmfare Best Debut Award, IIFA Award, Stardust Award, Screen Award. Kangna also won the Best Supporting Actress Award for Life In A Metro.
Kangna played a very pivotal role in success of the film Fashion and she also won the National and Filmfare Award for her acting.
Kangna has also endorsed Provogue clothing summer collection. Kangna has acted in many films like Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, Knock Out, No Problem, Tanu Weds Manu, Rascal ,Double Dhamaal.
