Red-Tailed Hawk Rescued From 3rd Floor Of NYC Building

A distressed red-tailed hawk was recently rescued from a 3rd floor air conditioning unit of a Manhattan apartment building by a firefighter who also happens to be a licensed animal rehabilitator.

An injured red-tailed hawk was rescued high above a Manhattan street on Thursday. 

Members of the New York City Fire Department, or FDNY, responded to a call made by a concerned resident who reported the seemingly distressed bird; it had been spotted lingering by an air conditioning unit for about three days. 

Among the firefighters on the scene was Bobby Horvath who also happens to be licensed to rehabilitate
