How to International Christmas Cooking: Mandazi

Procedure

Add the margarine to the flour for soft mandazis

Mix thoroughly with the flour

Add sugar and cardamom powder then mix thoroughly

Whisk eggs and milk in a separate container

Make a well at the centre of the flour

Add the mixture of eggs and milk into the well

Mix with the flour

Knead the dough thorough for 4-5 minutes

Cover with a clean piece of cloth for 15 minutes

Roll the dough to a ½ cm thickness

Cut it into small pieces

Roll and flatten slightly

Add the cooking oil into a pan and heat it

Put the rolled dough into the frying pan

Fry until they become golden brown in color

Place them on kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil

Make a small cut at the centre and stuff them with the whipped cream

Drizzle with melted chocolate
