Peru: Presidential Front Runner Allegedly Financed by Drug Money

Leading presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori is under investigation in Peru for links to drug traffickers. She is the daughter of former president Alberto Fujimori, who is serving a prison sentence for crimes against humanity and corruption. Analysts say her election campaign is financed by drug money and, in fact, a large donation has been acknowledged from Luis Calle Quiroz, wanted for drug money laundering by the United States. During her father’s administration, tons of cocaine were found on the presidential plane and navy ships, and in 2013 over a hundred kilos of cocaine were found in a warehouse owned by her brother Kenji. Rael Mora reports from Lima for teleSUR.
