1952 RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON SERIAL TRAILER - COMMANDO CODY

Originally entitled, PLANET MEN FROM MARS and dealing the with exploits of rocket-powered hero, Larry Martin battling an invasion from Mars -- not the moon -- the serial received rapid revamping on the first day of shooting, changing the names of key players, Most notably, "Larry Martin" became "Commando Cody".
The serial was envisioned a springboard for the Cody character, with an eye toward the studio creating a television series to compete with the likes of CAPTAIN VIDEO, SPACE PATROL and TOM CORBETT, all of which were enjoying tremendous popularity in the new medium. RADAR MEN was heavily promoted and advertised, with some theatres giving more prominence to the chapter play than the main feature.
