California's pro-active stance on global warming

The US state of California is the country's second-largest emitter of carbon dioxide, after Texas. But it's leading the fight against global warming with an ambitious goal: the Golden State aims to cut its CO2 emissions by half by the year 2030. Authorities have poured massive amounts of money into solar energy and electric car infrastructure, while government incentives are encouraging more and more drivers to go green.
