Following her split with Desi Arnaz in 1960, Lucille Ball bought all of his holdings in their production company, Desilu, and, soon after, returned to the small tune with her own series, THE LUCY SHOW. The show debuted on October 1, 1962 and, with some format changes, for five seasons winning two Emmy Awards for the raucous redhead while receiving seven additional nominations.
